During this session, the presenters discuss a framework that seamlessly integrates content, language, and literacy while recognizing and validating the students’ entire linguistic repertoire through translanguaging practices such as Preview/View/Review and cross-linguistic connections. This framework promotes equitable access to content and gives students literacy and language development opportunities. It also provides teachers a lens for planning for the academic language and literacy practices students need to express their understanding of the content standards.
